The King Cleans House
Angry is not a picture of Jesus that people often have framed in their minds. Most people think of Jesus as a baby, as mild and meager, quiet and submissive, meek and lowly. But in Luke 19:45-48 we have a completely different portrait. Jesus storms in and shows people who’s boss. He basically destroys the place, scattering animals and people in the process. His voice rings out through the Temple courtyard as He cracks a whip and tosses tables. Why was Jesus so fired up, and what does He anger communicate to us?
