Suit Up!—The Breastplate of Righteousness
Chris McCurley   -

For the Roman soldier, the breastplate served to protect the vital organs, namely the heart, lungs, and intestines. In Bible times, the heart often referred to the mind, the will, and the bowels. It was considered the seat of emotion and feeling. No wonder Paul included this vital piece of gear when speaking of the armor of God. The mind and the heart are the areas Satan most fiercely attacks. If we don’t protect our hearts and our minds, we are doomed to fail.
