Straight Outta Context – Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28 is about what God can do with even the most adverse of circumstances. That doesn’t mean that everything that happens to us should be considered good and necessary because God is behind it and He caused it. It simply means that God is there in our pain, in our suffering, and in our tragedy. Romans 8:28 is a promise that no matter what I may deal with in this life, no matter how bad things get, tragedy will not triumph. God’s ultimate, eternal purpose will be realized.
