Jesus Is…Wonderful Counselor
In Isaiah Chapter 9, the prophet is seeking to describe the indescribable. Of course, these are not his words. They come from the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, Isaiah’s description will find its fullest meaning in those who experience it some 700 years in the future. But, in an effort, to describe the indescribable, to his immediate audience, the prophet gives alternate names to the baby that will be known as Jesus. One of those names being “Wonderful Counselor.”
